I failed. Well, I guess I didn’t fail, i temporarily lost focus.  I have been so drained from school and work that if I have the time to work out, i certainly don’t have the energy.  I do try to eat healthy foods but that’s hard on a college budget-especially when I live with three toothpicks who like to eat chicken nuggets and mac & cheese every night.  I also like to drink (like almost every other college student I know.)
All that is irrelevant now, though.  I am starting over.  I really NEED to do this. They say November and December are the months of gaining weight, but I’m seriously determined to do just the opposite.   My goal is to lose 5 pounds each month.  By New years eve, I want to weigh 135 pounds.  Then, I want to lose ten more pounds by my birthday which is in the middle of March.  I know I can do it, it’s not unrealistic. I want to be 125 pounds. That is a 20 pound loss in approximately 5 months.  I need to alter my eating habits.  No more ‘on-the-go’ eating. I went to the grocery store last night and got things to make acutal meals. Fresh fruits and veggies, low fat dressings/mayo/etc.  If I make meals, my roommates will eat them…which, to me, is better than them making nuggets and ME eating that.

I’m also going to actually start utilizing the FREE GYM that I have at school.  Not using that gym is basically the stupidest thing I can do. I’m on campus 50% of the week, why wouldn’t I walk over to the gym and run a mile, or get on the elliptical?  It makes no sense.

This time, I’m going to update every day.  I don’t care if not even one person reads this blog.  I am holding myself accountable to post every day.  I don’t want to fail, because even if no one else is reading it, I will have to go back and read it and be disappointed.

20 pounds in 5 months. That is all.

Sorry I’ve basically SUCKED at keeping up with this thing, I’ve been super busy lately.  I had another random unexpected 3 day trip to the beach, and I’ve been moving things in & looking for jobs around my school.  I’ve been trying to stay strict, but being on vacation makes it so hard!!!  I’m back on it today though, going to the reservoir to hike at 4 and then to a pilates class after :)  Can’t waitttt.

I’ve been thinking about fall semester and getting really excited about things which makes me want to lose weight so I can look good for them :) :)  We’re having a halloween party, and I need to get a costume, AND shed pounds so it looks h-o-t.

It sucks living with 3 other skinny  bitches because they literally don’t care what they eat. I am the only health-conscious one in the house (or so it seems) and since we split groceries, it’s expensive to pay for some of their stuff (chicken nuggets, pizza, mac & cheese) and then go back to the store and buy tons of fruit and veggies, hummus, and other healthier snacks.  I think that I’m going to just start making dinner for everyone, and hopefully turning them onto some healthy meals so they’ll start liking the healthy foods, thus helping me lose weight AND save money. WINNING!

alright, I’m done boring you all, good luck to everyone today-make it a GREAT DAY :) :) :)

didn’t do the spin class today, we walked 3 miles on a trail near here instead.  So many hills I was definitely feeling the burn babyyyy.  Doing spin tomorrow at 6:30, should be interesting (to say the least) Bought a scale today so I can see my progress…hoping I don’t obsess over it though! I’m trying to only weigh myself around once a week.

Also, picked up this 100 best salad recipes book for FOUR dollars from the bookstore that I found yesterday, so we’re going to whip one of those up tomorrow.

ALSO also, if you’ve never had the lemon chicken orzo salad from Panera, I highly recommend that you try it. SO yummy and only something like 100 calories. I’ll be getting that all the time now, hope it’s not just like a summer special.

Night :)

today, i’m feeling awesome.  I am home alone at the new house so I’ve been unpacking the rest of my stuff, and then, since there are boys living here too, I have spent the rest of the morning cleaning- haha.  Cleaned all 3 bathrooms, the living room, & the kitchen. I had a bagel for breakfast with light cream cheese & diet green tea.  At 2, I’m meeting my friend at the gym & doing a spin class…can’t wait. I’ve never done a spin class before so I’m a little nervous =0 !!  I know I slacked off last week, so it’s time to get back in it-seriously.  I got a new pair of jeans that I looove, but I bought them a little too tight purposely so that I am motivated to work out. They fit, but they are tighter than I’d like. So I realllly need to get these thunder thighs to disappear. I can and WILL do it though.

On another note, I spent most of yesterday job hunting, and while I was doing that, I found this amazing record store that I never even know existed…like five minutes from my house. It’s hidden and awesome and I love it.  Even better, it’s right next door to the most wonderful book store ever.  Pretty sure I’ll be frequenting those two places more than school this semester :)

So, I decided to stay off of the internet for the remainder of my week at the beach and i’m super glad I did because I had a great time. Howeverrrrr, I probably ate food enough to feed a small country. Therefore, I am seriously getting down to business.  I just moved back to school to look for a job before school starts, so I can use the gym for free so NO EXCUSES :)  I’m also heading to the grocery store today to get some healthy foods because my roommates don’t particularly eat much of that- haha. That being said….

Anyone have any low-calorie snacks they looove?
